Ask enough in the inquiry form to make the reply useful

A contact form is often designed around what the business would like to know. The visitor is deciding whether it is worth starting a conversation. Ask for information that materially improves the first reply, and explain what will happen after sending.

Begin with the response

If every inquiry requires a public URL and a description of the problem, invite those details in the message prompt. A large mandatory budget questionnaire may be premature when a customer does not yet understand the solution.

Make errors easy to correct

Every input needs a visible label. When something is missing or invalid, preserve the visitor's other work and identify the field. Colombian Spanish labels, helper text and confirmation messages need the same editorial review as the page itself.

Check the actual outcome

Test a valid inquiry, an invalid email and a temporary failure using an agreed test process. A button changing color is not evidence that a message reached the business. The success text should appear only when the submission has actually been accepted.

W3C's forms tutorial explains labeling and feedback principles. Use them to review the whole conversation: page explanation, fields, errors and confirmation. Keep sensitive documents out of the first contact step. When discussing website design, bring the questions your staff actually need before they can give a useful answer.
